Concert to benefit Ten Thousand Villages

Pasadena’s getting its own Ten Thousand Villages!

Ten Thousand Villages works with more than 100 artisan groups to purchase fine pieces from craftspeople through longstanding, nurturing relationships. Ten Thousand Villages is of a part of a worldwide movement that is striving to improve the livelihood of disadvantaged people in developing countries through the expansion of fair trade.

Pasadena’s Ten Thousand Villages opens in July. To raise funds for the venture, David Wilcox and Nancy Petitt will perform selections from their new album, Out Beyond Ideas.

When: Tuesday, July 11 at 7pm.
Where: Travis Auditorium at Fuller Seminary,180 N. Oakland Ave., Pasadena.
Cost: $25 per ticket. Purchase will call tickets online via PayPal here, or call 626.304.3789.

Half of the ticket-sales from this 2-hour concert will go towards Ten Thousand Villages Pasadena.

Fair Trade LA members will have a table right outside the concert hall, handing out flyers and brochures — especially information about our Score Your Supermarket campaign!

This is your opportunity to get involved with Fair Trade LA and the Score Your Supermarket campaign. Simply come to the table, pledge to check out the avaliability of fair trade products at your local supermarket, and you’lll get a free, organic and fairly-made tote bag for your grocery shopping!
