So Media, Pennsylvania became the first fair trade town in the US — Congrats Media!

What can we do to make Los Angeles a fair trade town? Well, this is what Media did to make it happen for them, according to a WorldNetDaily article:

* “The Media Borough Council passed a resolution supporting Fair Trade and committing to serve Fair Trade coffee and tea at its [municipal] functions.”

* “A range of Fair Trade products are readily available in Media’s shops and restaurants.”

* “Fair Trade products are used by a number of local workplaces, such as law offices, and community organizations, such as churches.”

* Print, broadcast and other “media coverage is provided and there’s popular support for the campaign.”

* “A local Fair Trade steering group from a diverse representation of institutions is working to ensure continued commitment to Fair Trade Town status.”

Can we do it here, LA people? I think so!
