Volunteer with Fair Trade LA

Fair Trade LA thrives thanks to our dedicated volunteers who champion fair trade throughout Los Angeles. We're always looking for passionate individuals to join our efforts at events, congregations, schools, and more.

Current Volunteer Opportunities:

1. Event Volunteers
   Role: Represent Fair Trade LA at community events, fairs, festivals, and schools to raise awareness and support.
   Responsibilities:

   • Set up and break down informational tables or displays.

   • Engage with attendees, share information about Fair Trade LA, distribute materials, and encourage newsletter sign-ups.

   • Promote membership when appropriate.

2. Email Newsletter Marketing Editor
   Role: Create, design, and distribute our monthly email newsletter and occasional news blasts.
   Responsibilities:

   • Use Mailchimp to format content within existing templates.

   • Collaborate with committees and the board to develop content ideas.

   • Analyze campaign performance and suggest improvements.

   • Research relevant articles and information.

   • Edit content for clarity and correctness.

   • Maintain and update the distribution list.

   • Source and credit appropriate photos.

Commitment: Minimum of six months.

1. Social Media Volunteer
   Role: Develop and curate content for Fair Trade LA's social media platforms.
   Responsibilities:

   • Promote our mission and programs across social media channels.

   • Engage with audiences on platforms like Facebook and Twitter.

   • Create compelling copy and content.

   • Stay updated on industry trends, platform updates, and emerging influencers.

   • Participate in relevant discussions about fair trade.

   • Drive consistent and relevant traffic to our platforms.
